How Glow Works

Designed around your home. Delivered with care.

Glow begins by understanding your home — how it’s built, how it’s used, and how it may change over time. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is off-the-shelf.

We start with the home, not the hardware

Every Glow system begins with understanding how your home actually works — not just its size, but how it’s lived in day to day.

We look at construction, orientation, roof structure, energy use, and how your needs may evolve over time. This allows us to design a system that fits properly, performs efficiently, and remains flexible as life changes.

Nothing is assumed. Nothing is rushed.

  • How your home is built and laid out
  • How energy is used today — and how that may change
  • What flexibility should be designed in from day one

This ensures every system is designed around the way your home actually lives — not a generic specification.

  •

We design the system as one — not as parts

Once we understand the home, we design the energy system as a single, integrated whole.

Generation, storage, control, and future capacity are specified together — sized and balanced to work properly as one system.

This is where the right Glow tier becomes clear — not through selection, but through design.

  • Generation, storage, and control designed together
  • Capacity sized for today, with headroom for tomorrow
  • One coherent system — not add-ons over time

The system is the outcome of design — not a choice to be made.

Delivery is coordinated — not improvised

Once the system is designed, delivery is coordinated through your local Glow Network.

This allows installations to be planned, sequenced, and delivered with consistency — reducing disruption, improving quality control, and ensuring every system is installed exactly as designed.

Each system is still designed individually.
Delivery simply happens collectively.

  • Local coordination, not mass scheduling
  • Consistent standards across every installation
  • Fewer unknowns. Better outcomes.

This isn’t about speed or discounts — it’s about doing things properly.

Installed carefully, by design

When installation begins, everything has already been designed, specified, and planned.

Systems are installed by accredited partners working to Glow standards, with clear sequencing, quality checks, and minimal disruption to the home.

Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is improvised.

  • Planned installation, not reactive fitting
  • Consistent standards and quality checks throughout
  • Clear communication before, during, and after installation

Installation is the execution of the design — not the moment decisions are made.

Designed for grid reality

Home energy systems don’t operate in isolation. They connect to the wider electricity network — and that network has real, location-specific limits.

Glow Networks are designed to work within these realities, not around assumptions.

Working with local network constraints

Export capacity, connection limits, and grid rules are set by your local electricity network operator — not by Glow.

That means:

  • Export availability can vary by location
  • Some areas limit how much energy can be exported
  • Rules and incentives can change over time

Glow designs systems to perform reliably within these constraints, rather than relying on conditions that may not always be available.

Where export is available, surplus energy may be credited under applicable export schemes — subject to local network rules.

A note on exporting energy

Most Glow systems are capable of exporting surplus energy back to the grid where permitted.

Export is handled automatically — after your home’s needs are met and storage is prioritised. It isn’t something you need to manage day to day.

If export is available to you, your system will make use of it.
If it isn’t, your system is still designed to perform efficiently and predictably through smart self-consumption and storage.

Why this approach matters

Designing for grid reality protects long-term performance.

Rather than optimising around short-term incentives or assumptions, Glow systems are built to:

  • Perform consistently
  • Adapt as rules and tariffs change
  • Deliver value regardless of export availability

This ensures your system remains dependable — now and in the years ahead.

Designed to perform — and keep performing

Glow systems are designed for long-term performance — not short-term gains.

Because the system is specified properly from the start, it continues to perform reliably as your home, energy use, and technology evolve.

Support, monitoring, and future adjustments are considered as part of the system — not bolted on later.

Glow doesn’t just install systems. We design energy infrastructure for homes.
