Design, Safety & Standards

The rules we operate by — before, during and long after installation.

Glow Homes is governed by fixed standards — not sales promises. This page outlines how we design systems properly, control installation quality, and remain accountable long after your system goes live.

Design Comes First

Every Glow system starts with understanding the home — not selling hardware.

Glow designs home energy systems as complete, balanced architectures, not collections of components. Every decision starts with the home itself — its structure, electrical capacity, usage patterns and long-term needs.

We don’t begin with products, prices or promises. We begin by understanding how a system should behave over time, how it integrates with the grid, and how it can adapt as a home evolves.

Surveys and design come before pricing. System thinking comes before specifications. This approach ensures every Glow installation is deliberate, appropriate and built for long-term ownership — not short-term optimisation.

Safety Is Non-Negotiable

Compliance, testing and sign-off are baseline responsibilities — not selling points.

Electrical and structural safety sit at the core of every Glow system. From initial design through to commissioning, installations are delivered in line with current regulations, grid requirements and best practice — without exception.

Systems are tested, commissioned and documented properly. Grid and DNO processes are followed in full. No shortcuts are taken for speed, cost or convenience.

Safety at Glow is not something added at the end of a project. It is embedded into how systems are designed, installed and signed off — quietly, consistently and as standard.

Installation Standards

Quality is controlled through process — not left to chance.

All Glow installations are carried out by certified professionals who meet strict onboarding and operational standards. Installers are selected for competence, consistency and discipline — not volume.

Installation partners work to Glow processes and specifications, not improvised methods. Every system is delivered to a defined standard, regardless of who installs it.

While specialist partners carry out the work, final accountability always sits with Glow Homes. Installation quality is governed, monitored and reviewed as part of a controlled delivery process — not delegated or assumed.

Product & System Standards

Systems are designed to perform as a whole — not assembled from parts.

Glow designs and delivers complete home energy systems, not collections of components. Products are selected for reliability, compatibility and long-term serviceability — not marketing claims or headline specifications.

Systems are specified to work together as a balanced whole, with future electrification and changing household needs considered from the outset. This avoids dead-end installations, unnecessary upgrades and short-term optimisation.

Glow remains supplier-agnostic by design. This allows systems to evolve over time without locking homeowners into a single manufacturer or technology path.

Insurance & Risk Protection

Protection is built into the structure — not added as reassurance.

Glow maintains appropriate insurance cover to protect homeowners, installers and third parties throughout the design and installation process.

All installation partners are required to hold valid insurance that meets Glow’s standards before undertaking any work. Coverage requirements form part of installer onboarding and are reviewed as operations evolve.

Insurance at Glow sits alongside — not instead of — disciplined system design, controlled installation processes and long-term accountability. It exists to protect homeowners, not to compensate for poor standards or shortcuts.

Sales & Conduct Standards

Clarity comes before commitment — always.

Glow does not operate a pressure-led sales model. Conversations are advisory, considered and paced to allow homeowners to make informed decisions without urgency or persuasion.

There are no incentives, discounts or negotiation tactics. Pricing is never rushed and is only discussed once a home has been properly surveyed and a system designed.

This approach removes pressure from the process and replaces it with confidence — allowing decisions to be made calmly, with full understanding of what is being proposed and why.

  • No pressure selling or urgency tactics

  • No incentives, discounts or negotiation culture

  • Surveys and design always precede pricing

  • Decisions explained clearly, without persuasion

Accountability Beyond Installation

Installation is a milestone — not the end of responsibility.

Glow remains accountable long after a system is installed and commissioned. Every system is handed over properly, with clear documentation, monitoring in place and a defined point of responsibility.

Homeowners are not passed between installers, manufacturers or third parties. Glow remains the single point of contact, responsible for system performance, support and long-term care.

This approach reflects how Glow views home energy: not as a one-off project, but as infrastructure that becomes part of the home — and should be supported accordingly.

These standards apply to every Glow system, regardless of location, installer or timing.
